Best conversation of today:
[Back round information: Katie went into the house to change into her bathing suit while her mother and Kaitlyn were in the pool. This is the conversation that happened right as Katie walked back outside]
Kaitlyn: Katie won't let me.
Katie: Won't let you what?
Kaitlyn: Go down the slide.
Mom: Yeah, I told Kaitlyn to put on an inner tube and go down the slide.
Katie: I didn't say she couldn't, but she's just too terrified to go in the deep end of the pool so I figured it wouldn't matter.
Kaitlyn, says while Katie is walking into the deeper parts of the water: Katie, don't go in the deep en...
Katie: My point exactly.
PWN'd. Hello. Guess who's gone?
Kaitlyn tried to pull her crying crap on mom in the pool today and she obviously now sees why I am such a jaded person.
Isabelle was over for a while which kept Kaitlyn vaguely quiet and then Kaitlyn invited herself over to Isabelle's so we got peace up to the very end. I didn't even know Kaitlyn was gone until it was unbearably quiet and my spirits were unnaturally lifted for no apparent reason.
After a happy dinner filled with no attention starved voices, madre wanted to get in the pool. Dana and I decided to go outside and sit in the grass and we bonded through grass fights and demon dog Muffin.<3 After the pool time, mom, mommom and I went out to sit on the front porch because it faces toward the west and we can sit out and watch the sun set.
We were just talking and then suddenly Wynn and Barbara's (grandparents of Ellie, also have Por. I'm going to use their names because it's just easier) two dogs ran out across our lawn and, of course, Muffin followed suit. All three of the dogs proceeded to run back to Wynn and Barbara's abode so I had to chance after Muffin and my mother followed behind. Guess who I finally met? Por (I'm still going to call her that because I don't really know how to pronounce her name)!
She's actually pretty (or "good lookin'," as old men say) but obviously did not know much English. I guess it's different when you think you know a language so well and then actually experience the people who only know that language and talk a hell of a lot faster than you're used to. She didn't say much and probably had no idea what we were saying, so I felt bad. Wynn, Barbara, and Por are going to come over to swim tomorrow afternoon so hopefully it'll be less awkward. Oh, and may I point out that the best way to break the tension is to have Muffin pee on your neighbor's driveway and then watch your mom step in it? Yeah. That just happened.
Daaaay camp starts on Monday! Is it geeky to be excited? Lie to me.
Listening pleasure: Pandora.
Crush: Seeeeeeth. Jesus, don't you get it by now? :D
