Besides it smelling like fall (am I the only one who remembers things by smells?) and having to jump out the back of the bus this morning while my bus driver laughed at my, "I'm gonna die..." comment and then breaking my pencil (and then later being laughed at for my collection of totally useless/leadless mechanical pencils), today was rather boring. I heart parenthesis.
In my seminar class my friend Anaya (who made the comment about living with a bunch of Mexicans two blog posts ago) taught us how to draw a face for this crap project we have to do, which involves basically standing in front of my class giving a how-to lesson. I've decided to go with teaching everyone the basics of sign language because I know of nothing else. Anaya is full to the brim with drawing skillz and I will forever be jealous that I can barely form a sentence while she's off being an ARTIST.
Like I mentioned yesterday, today is momma's birthday! We had this big dinner and Dana baked her the caramel cake that was absolutely delicious, and I'm pretty sure I met my gain-ten-pounds goal for this evening. I, of course, then wanted to talk about Christmas presents and I have decided that next to a new cell phone (out of stock fail), I want colored contacts... My mother took that offensively. "Why do you want colored contacts?!" To see what I would look like with blue eyes, maybe? She always thinks I have some psycho explanation for everything I do or want (which I usually do, but still). Anyway, it was a good dinner and she seemed happy enough.
Woodie is of course downstairs with Dana. Just thought I'd add that.
Fascination: Get moneeeey.
Quote of the day: Girl: It's actually a really productive place.
Mr. Social Studies Teacher: Yeah, more like reproductive.
