I'm... b[l]ack. And it rained just about everyday, so don't expect much. I'll just give random snippets of funny things that happened, though.
-Wednesday we went to the beach and Dana and I were swimming and messing around in low tide. I wanted to ride all the small waves up to the shore, and while accomplishing this, I got sand all in my bathing suit. I stood up to go back into the water and Dana looks over and says not-so-quietly, "Katie, your BOOB!" Ahem. Said anatomy was almost completely out of my suit, but I'm pretty sure it went unnoticed.
-The same day, it rained after an hour of my sister and I's swimming. We wanted lunch before going so we just got it on the boardwalk. We went to this one place and after getting our food, the man told us the necessary 'have a nice day' shtuff and I replied, "You too. Inside," in which he responded with a very serious expression, "You guys know it's raining, right?" We all laughed, of course, but I'm still not sure if he was serious or not.
-Perhaps maybe even the same day after THAT, I was home waiting to take a shower. The place we stayed was my mommom's beach house and now it's my aunt and uncle's, so there's lots of my second cousin's toys because at one point they had custody of them. At one point I found a T-ball and was throwing it up in the air while my mommom watched. She asked, "Is that a hard ball?" I slapped it around a little more and prodded it so she could see that it was, indeed, but she didn't stop there: "Now, Katie, you know you're not allowed to play with hard balls!" After a few seconds she realized the hilarity of her words. Epic, yes? I think so.
I had to sleep on this miserable little bed and I thank God that I am home on my own gem of a bed with my blankets and my pillows. I also thank God for my new school clothes that we bought at the Outlets. I love jeans.
Between doing all of these things of sorts, we got our homeroom number and Mark called me to tell me what mine was. I ex-girlfriend[x4] Shannon [who will probably make occasional appearances, since we're now going to the same school and riding the same bus] texted me and we kind of talked for the rest of the day. She has a boyfriend who graduated in June and we were talking about him, and I guess I was coming across pretty bitter because she told me that I 'need' someone. I kind of agree. Maybe. Though I'm not one to be desperate and clingy or any of that crap and I actually do prefer being single, I guess a change would be welcome. ANYWAY.
After being enclosed in the tiniest room I have ever had to be in, I read a good amount of the Chamber of Secrets, and by doing so I've decided Snape and I would've been best friends. Jesus knows how many house points a day he would've deducted from me hitting on him/talking back/being a bitch/condescending him. It was meant to be. Just saying.
On the car ride home, we watched Sweeney Todd. 'Nough said.<3
